Who we are

We are a family-run jewelry business from Seville with a rich history of entrepreneurship and dedication.

Our business started with a mother, Carmen Pérez, and her son, Pepín Román.

In the 1950s, Carmen was a brave and enterprising person married to José Román Castellón, dedicated to furniture decoration, who had to accept his wife's desire to start working in the marketing of household linens , with the best Catalan companies of that time.

Of her three children, the only son , José Antonio, sacrificed himself by accompanying his mother throughout Spain , especially Andalusia, carrying enormous suitcases in the first cars available at that time. His charm and ability to deal with people launched her as a successful saleswoman.

On one of his trips, his son Pepín was offered a small metal cigar box, which is still preserved, to carry some jewelry items to show his mother's large clientele. Seeing how well it sold, he suggested to his mother that they abandon selling household linens, which were much heavier and more cumbersome to transport, and focus on jewelry.

Pepín became an expert in the jewelry business after traveling the world and learning the trade from the best. His travels took him to Italy, Amsterdam, Switzerland, New York, Hong Kong, and beyond.

She achieved her greatest wish: to open a shop for her mother to relieve her of the exhaustion from so much traveling. She started her first shop in Plaza Nueva, from which they moved to Méndez Núñez Street to accommodate the growing demand for wedding and corporate gifts.

Pepín married Carmen Hernández Hermoso, with whom he had four children, who currently run the business. His wife, following in her husband's footsteps, significantly boosted the business, maintaining the same mobile approach she had seen in him, serving customers in their homes and offering the latest jewelry trends .

His children, following the same principle, gave it a twist, expanding again to more places and began to serve clients by meeting them at the best hotels in different cities throughout Spain.

Today, Román Joyero has two establishments where they continue to offer their customers high-quality jewelry and unique designs , all while maintaining the values ​​of quality, design and personalized attention that have characterized them since their founding.
